Reference Guide for DIETARY FIBERS
DIETARY FIBER Overview

Fibers have an intestinal cleansing action, which keeps the digestive tract clean. A diet rich in fiber is protective against a wide variety of diseases, including heart disease, cancer of the colon and rectum, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, phlebitis and obesity. See References.
