Isoflavones are plant estrogens found in soy beans, that mimic the body's own estrogen. Soy Isoflavones are thought to help prevent prostate and breast cancer. They have been used tp reduce hot flashes, night sweat, and vaginal dryness associated with menopause. They lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglyceride levels and raise HDL (good) cholesterol levels. They improves the quality of the arteries and lowers blood pressure. Soy Isoflavones may help retain bone density, and prevent osteoporosis.
