LUTEIN

Lutein is a yellow-orange carotenoid found in dark leafy greens, such as kale, spinach, and collard greens. It is one the major pigments found in the retina. It acts to filter and shield harmful blue light from the eye, and It has shown to offer significant protection against macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in older people.  Lutein may also protect against cataract formation.
