Lemon Balm Leaf produces a calming effect on the nerves.  It helps treat insomnia by promoting normal sleep.  It has been used to treat depression and anxiety.  It helps release body toxins through perspiration; relieves discomfort in the digestive tract, including flatulence and bloating, as well as colic.  It dilates blood vessels, thus increasing blood flow and lower blood pressure.  Lemon Balm Leaf has been  used in the treatment of migraine headaches.
